Taiwan Delegation Brings AI Innovation to the Global Stage
Taiwan’s National Development Council (NDC), in collaboration with NVIDIA Inception program partner StarFab Accelerator and Startup Island TAIWAN Silicon Valley Hub, led a delegation of 16 high-potential Taiwanese AI startups to participate in GTC 2026.
Among them, six startups were selected for the conference’s highly competitive “Poster Gallery,” a segment widely regarded for its academic and technical rigor. The selected companies, DeepRad AI, Fortune AI, Barking Dog, Holon Robotics, Virphysio, and Morale AI, demonstrated Taiwan’s growing strength across healthcare, manufacturing, robotics, and AI-driven services.
Six Startups Driving Innovation Across Industries
DeepRad AI is advancing clinical decision-making through the integration of digital twin technology and AI. Its platform enables precise preoperative simulation and personalized treatment planning for high-risk invasive procedures. Additionally, the company leverages AI-powered analysis of low-dose CT scans to detect early-stage cardiopulmonary and neurodegenerative diseases, while expanding into brain imaging, bone density analysis, and preventive healthcare applications.
Fortune AI addresses public safety with its AI-driven drowning detection system, Safe Swim. Using computer vision, the system identifies potential drowning risks in real time and alerts lifeguards, enabling faster intervention. Already deployed in approximately 20 facilities worldwide, including sites in Okinawa, Japan, the solution continues to scale internationally.
Barking Dog specializes in AI agent-based customer service solutions. Its virtual assistants provide 24/7 phone support, order-taking, and customer inquiry handling. Powered by advanced natural language processing (NLP), the platform can manage complex queries, detect negative sentiment, and deliver personalized recommendations, positioning itself as a next-generation of customer interaction.
Holon Robotics delivers scalable core software for industrial robotics. By integrating multi-modal sensors, robotic systems, and AI-driven data analytics, the company enhances coordination between robotic arms and sensing technologies. Their solution improves manufacturing productivity, precision, and operational flexibility.
Virphysio is transforming healthcare from reactive treatment to proactive prevention. Its programmable, AI- and digital twin-based therapeutic framework combines non-invasive imaging, functional assessments, and intelligent decision support. This enables clinicians to predict outcomes, personalize care plans, and optimize treatment strategies for individual patients.
Morale AI focuses on solving critical challenges in manufacturing, including knowledge transfer, production line management, and quality control. Leveraging large language models (LLMs) and AI agents, the company builds integrated data platforms that enhance analytics capabilities, including energy consumption and carbon emission monitoring. Its solutions support enterprises in achieving digital transformation and operational efficiency.
A Strategic Signal of Taiwan’s AI Momentum
The presence of these startups at GTC 2026 underscores Taiwan’s expanding role in the global AI ecosystem. From healthcare innovation to industrial intelligence, Taiwanese startups are increasingly aligning with global trends such as AI-driven automation, data-centric manufacturing, and personalized medicine.
