2025 TOP TIER Pitch & Panel – Taiwan Startups Showcase
Since 2015, Taiwan Institute of Economic Research (TIER) has been commissioned by the Small and Medium Enterprise and Startup Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, to establish FINDIT, the Taiwan Startup Information Platform. This project aims to enhance market transparency and information efficiency, to reduce the risks associated with entrepreneurship and investment due to information asymmetry, and to better identify business opportunities in innovation and entrepreneurship.
In addition to building the Taiwan Startup Database, FINDIT team organizes a variety of activities, including fundraising mentorship, lectures, matchmaking events, and collaborates with international exhibitions, investors, and accelerators to strengthen global ecosystem linkages. As part of this effort, the project will organize a global investment matchmaking event, aiming to connect Taiwanese startups with overseas capital and business opportunities.
As Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asian investors has become some of the major foreign sources of funding for Taiwanese startups, and as an increasing number of Taiwanese startups are expanding into these regions, the event — “2025 TOP TIER Pitch & Panel – Taiwan Startups Showcase” — was organized in collaboration with the national startup brand Startup Island Taiwan. This event was held at InnoVEX, one of the most influential startup exhibitions in Asia, featuring keynote speeches and international panel discussions focused on business expansion in Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia. In addition, investors from Thailand, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, along with domestic investors and global networks, were invited to connect with Taiwanese startups and explore potential investment and business opportunities.
