PKLOTCORP Inc. Completes US$10 Million Funding Round
Funding News
PKLOTCORP Inc. announced on November 10 the completion of its latest funding round, raising US$10 million (approximately NT$388 million). Participants in the round included CTBC, Taiwan Secom, Pegatron, and Hsin Sheng Capital, as well as Silicon Valley-based 500 Global, Singularity Capital, and several undisclosed Japanese venture capital firms.
Autopass, the smart mobility platform operated by PKLOTCORP Inc., entered the market with the concept of “license plate as a wallet.” Through contactless payment technology, the platform connects multiple driving-related payment use cases, including fuel stations, parking facilities, and roadside parking. Users can complete payments via a mobile app using license plate recognition, enabling a contactless payment experience without the need to tap a card or manually enter information.
Autopass has already integrated its services with a wide range of banks and payment platforms, including Taishin Bank, LINE Bank, JKO Pay, Pi Wallet, and CPC Pay. For enterprise customers, the platform has expanded into backend systems, supporting shared mobility operators such as iRent and Chailease with roadside parking payments, expense management, and one-way rental services. Through these integrations, Autopass has established itself as a key mobility infrastructure partner for multiple enterprises.
As the platform continues to mature, Autopass is advancing the next phase of its product roadmap with the launch of “Driver Center.” Built around the concept of a single sign-on (SSO) for drivers, the platform integrates driver-related data, including driver’s licenses, membership benefits, and active services, into a unified digital identity portal. Similar to logging in with a Google account, Driver Center is designed to allow vehicle owners to access all driving-related information through a single login.
The company expects to reach break-even by 2026 and will continue expanding its online integrations and offline partnerships. Autopass has also established a subsidiary in Tokyo, Japan, with plans to replicate its open-platform model developed in Taiwan by connecting local parking operators with driver service platforms, further expanding its international presence.

Piezo Ultratech Co., Ltd. Completes NT$10 Million Pre-A Round
Funding News
Piezo Ultratech Co., Ltd. announced on December 3 the completion of a NT$10 million Pre-A round. Participants in the round included Taiwan Intellectual Asset Management, Sagatek, and Chen Shih Investment. The investment was facilitated with support from Stone Weng, Managing Partner of Infinio Capital and a mentor at the NCKU Phoenix Entrepreneurship Platform.
Founded in 2023, Piezo Ultratech originated from a laboratory within the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at National Cheng Kung University. The company aims to reduce Taiwan’s heavy reliance on imported high-end piezoelectric sensors, which account for more than 90% of domestic demand, by developing proprietary piezoelectric materials and sensor technologies in-house. Its core strengths lie in its piezoelectric material formulations and sensor design capabilities. Leveraging these technologies, the company has developed piezoelectric sensors with bandwidths of up to 34 kHz. By comparison, conventional capacitive sensors typically offer bandwidths of around 5 kHz to 10 kHz and are primarily used to capture lower-frequency signals. Through proprietary ceramic processing and miniaturization technologies, Piezo Ultratech’s sensors can detect higher-frequency signals, significantly improving the accuracy of equipment monitoring.
The proceeds will support Piezo Ultratech’s strategic expansion, enabling the company to integrate more rapidly into existing industrial supply chains and grow alongside major manufacturers and system integrators. The company has initiated technical collaborations with a well-established domestic robotics manufacturer to jointly develop precision sensing modules for robotic arms, as well as health monitoring and safety systems for collaborative robots. To support its expanding operations, the team is actively recruiting talent in hardware development, algorithm integration, and business development. The company also plans to extend its applications from AIoT devices and automotive sensing to medical sensing modules, positioning its Taiwan-developed high-end sensors as part of the global intelligent manufacturing ecosystem.
