Fubon Securities established Fubon Venture Capital Management Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “Fubon Venture Management”) on October 24, 2013, to develop its asset management business. In the same year, it managed Fubon Venture Capital Co., Ltd. (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fubon Securities). Due to its outstanding performance, in July 2016, Fubon Venture Management assisted Fubon Venture Capital in raising external funds, bringing in industry investors and increasing its capital from NT$100 million to NT$727 million. In October 2018, it obtained approval from the Securities and Futures Bureau to act as a general partner to raise venture capital funds and private equity funds. In March 2019, it raised its first limited partnership venture fund—Fuyou Venture Capital—with a total fundraising of NT$520 million. In December 2019, Fuyou Capital was established as a parent fund for corporate mergers or strategic alliances, assisting SMEs in transformation and upgrading. Currently, the venture funds under management include Fubon Venture Capital and Fuyou Venture Capital Limited Partnership, while the private equity fund under management is Fuyou Capital, with total assets under management reaching NT$1.397 billion.
