【2024 FINDIT Winter Matchmaking Conference】Call for Investors!

• Event Introduction:

From 2015 to 2018, the Taiwan Institute of Economic Research was commissioned by the Small and Medium Enterprise Administration, MOEA to execute the "SME Value Innovation Program." Between 2019 and 2022, it carried out the "Innovative Financing Intelligent Support Program." Starting in 2023, it has been implementing the "Optimization of Early-Stage Investment Knowledge Sharing and Innovative Application Platform Program" to promote market transparency and information efficiency, eliminate entrepreneurial and investment risks caused by information asymmetry, and enhance the ability to identify business opportunities in innovation and entrepreneurship. During the execution of these programs, the early-stage funding database "FINDIT" was developed, and events such as funding matchmaking meetings, fundraising sharing sessions, and early-stage investment forums were organized. Through both online and offline channels, we aim to achieve these objectives while improving the fundraising environment and invigorating the early-stage investment capital market.

As of the end of September 2024, over the course of the program from 2015 to 2024, we have held 41 matchmaking meetings with participation from a total of 639 startups and 1,970 investors, creating 20,345 matchmaking opportunities for startups. We have facilitated 179 venture capital investment transactions for startups. Through matchmaking or mentorship, the disclosed investment amount in 150 cases exceeded NT$4.27 billion. On average, one out of every four companies received investment, with an overall investment rate of about 30%, of which direct facilitation accounted for 20% of the total investments.

The upcoming "Winter Matchmaking Conference" is an event for matchmaking and exchange between quality startups and investors. We will invite incubation institutions and their recommended quality startups to present their businesses and fundraising plans. Investors are welcome to register and participate. We hope this event will enhance interaction and exchange between investors and startups, assisting entrepreneurial teams in securing the necessary funding. Additionally, in view of the increasing number of investors attending the matchmaking meetings each year and the corresponding rise in costs, a fee of NT$300–400 (depending on the number of printed pages) will be charged for the event handbook. Those interested can request it from the organizer.

Over the years, each investment matchmaking event organized by the FINDIT platform has seen participation from over 80–90 investment institutions. We warmly welcome your participation!
