Amid shifting geopolitical dynamics and a growing emphasis on de-risking, Taiwan’s security and surveillance sector is entering a period of significant transformation and opportunity. Following President Lai Ching-te’s inaugural address in May 2024, in which “security and surveillance” was designated as one of the Five Trusted Industry Sectors, the scope of the sector has expanded beyond traditional surveillance cameras and access control systems. It is now positioned as a strategic pillar closely tied to national security and the resilience of trusted global supply chains.
